Jillian is an artist and designer living and working in Philadelphia , PA.

Jillian received her Bachelors of Science in Interior Design from Philadelphia University in 2002. She worked for several years with an architecture firm in Philadelphia, PA before deciding to pursue other creative interests. She received her MFA in Jewelry + Metals in 2013 from the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, RI. She is currently an Exhibition Designer at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

She has explored ideas of fear vs. safety, control vs. destruction, privacy vs. surveillance as well as other dichotomies we face in contemporary life through her conceptual work. Sculpture, drawing, architecture, industrial design, light and shadow, and the unknown are all sources of inspiration. Some of Jillian’s favorite artists include J. M. W. Turner, Paul Klee, Wassily Kandinsky, Julie Mehretu, Louis Nevelson, Cornelia Parker and James Turrell.
